Hello All,

I'm looking for some good wheels and tires for my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado (ext. cab, V8, LS, 2WD).

Here is what I want...

-2.5" Level Kit in the front

-XD Badlands 18x9 6 on 5.5 (these come in 2 models on with 5.71 backspace and one with 4.53 backspace) (which one will I need?)

-Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/65R/18

I want to know if this combination will fit my wheel well in the front and back without rubbing.

Please help! Sorry if this post is in the wrong section.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The more backspace you have, the less of a chance you have of the tire rubbing on the bumper valance.

Alright, so I need to go with the 5.71 backspace model over the 4.53 then? As far as the tires, will they fit with no rubbing?

With at least 2in. of lift in the front, it should fit without rubbing. :uhoh: But, I'd go with something like 2.5 to 3in. of front lift.

ok great, yea i was thinking a 2.5" level lift in the front.

Anyone seen a size combination like this? I have been trying to find pics online but I havent found any.

Can't say 100% cause I didn't run the 285/65/18's but I did run 275/70/18's on stock wheels with a 2" level.

Difference in size is 32.6 vs 33.2 and 11.2 vs 10.8 (285 is the 1st number on both)

I've read on this site and other's of lots of folks running the 285/65/18's with 2" Levels.

Can't give you any exact links but from every post I read about it when I was looking

You Can run the 285/65/18 with a 2.25" Level using the 5.7 bs.

Someone with 1st hand knowledge running the 285 will probably chime in but Yeah you can run them without rubbing.

So I made a little change. Instead of a 2.5" level i went with a 2" level. I moved from the 285/65r/18 to the 285/60r/18. Here is a picture....

I like the 60s better, they show more wheel well and gives it a more offroad look with just a leveling kit.

Where on earth did you find these in a positive offset?

Got them from Trans America, I think they are a huge distributor of Wheels/Tires in Florida. A buddy of mine has an account with them.
