Just before we got The Truck of Win and Awesome, Dad was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity Sedan. recently, its been harder and harder to start, until finally it has stopped starting. while I was still in school, I borrowed the School's fuel Pressure tester, and it read VERY low. can anyone give me their opinion on what's wrong?

Been too long to remember, but does it have a distributer? Check the rotor if it does, GMs of the 80's had issues with the rotor burning through under the center "button" and shorting out the coil to the distributor shaft.

Would also be of some help if you provided ANY other info.... you provided absolutely none in the post above.

Did you try the fuel filter yet?

My gf's dad had a pontiac with that motor and the car wouldn't start. Ended up changing the coil packs and it worked. Although if the fuel pressure is low maybe the pump went out. have someone put their ear on the gas tank and turn the key to the on position. You should hear it prime.

Yeah, my thought would be to check the fuel pump and change the fuel filter for good measure.

Will do, At least GM was thinking when they put the Fuel Filter in the Vicinity of the LR Wheel Well!

well, today I got the Filter and changed it, tried to start it, no-go. then I suspected something was wrong with the Ignition system. I checked for Spark, and Heyo, no Spark! went and had the Ignition Module tested, and it FAILED Every Test! so $97 Later, that 2.8L V6 is Purring Happily again!
