Problem With Leather

I have tan leather. Whenever someone sits in my passenger seat(probably back too, but no one is ever back there) and they have on black shorts or pants once they get out it looks like 5 years of dirt has collected. Is this just something I'm gonna have to live with? I've banned black pants after it happened twice in two days because I got tired of cleaning it.

Always go cloth if you can, especially if it's used because likely the previous owner never conditioned it.

I would stick with the "black pants ban"... It s got to be the dye coming off the cloths. I ve seen others post here about the blue coming off jeans onto there leather too ( but it usually takes repeated time to show). Carry a towel in the truck in case someone shows up with black and then let them sit on the towel.

If it was GM cloth you d be having the lint problems.

Tan anything interior will always show dirt and marks. If you talk crappy seats, the 2007 pictured below with the fabric seats were horrible lint magnets. Dog hair transferred into the cab on my shoes found its way to the seats. Vacuuming was a regular and tedious procedure. GM changed the fabric later because of many complaints. My new truck is a 2011 All-Terrain with ebony leather. It's got to be better than the seats in my previous 2007.

Luckily I have a leather couch and I get free conditioner for life so I am never short on cleaner.

Is anything related to the seats covered under the bumper to bumper warranty?
