Line X Installed Today!

Well I just purchase my 1500 last Tuesday and had the bed Line X'd today.

 

I really wasn't a fan of having the bed of my new truck sand blasted in order for the liner to stick, but considering the alternative I opted to overcome my anxiety. I'm not a fan of plastic drop-in liners as they rub the paint and can rust. While the idea of the BedRug/Tred was appealing...... I did not want to velco anything PLUS should anything get behind the Rug/Tred I would be right back to the problems of a plastic liner.

 

So I decided I might as well have my pretty paint destroyed under controlled conditions and get the spray-in liner.

 

I'll be throwing my motorcycle in the back next month so although that isn't a big test for it, I can't wait to actually use the bed as it is intended to be used.

 

 

 

 

 

And I need to remove that damn sticker from my backglass...... argh!

Not to hi-jack the thread, but how well does the line x hold up against different kind of abuse? For instance a few times a year I slide a 12' aluminum boat right in the back of the truck. Is this going to wear thru the stuff?

Line X gets real hard, so it's kind of like a second skin and as far as I know is nearly indestructible.

Close....but the actual end of the tail-gate itself. I'm curious to know if they line-x'ed right to the bottom of the tail-gate or cut it short.

On mine, they cut it short and said it couldn't be done so as to allow room for the tail-gate to close.

I was gonna ask about that....every truck that I've ever seen linexed always had that sticker on the same spot on the truck...got to love that they are puttin stickers on your truck without asking

Did you get Line-X Extra too (the upgrade that keeps it shiny)? I didn't and it did fade, not a big deal for me but might be for you.
