Herculiner Bed Liner

I'm really curious about this stuff. Anybody got any info on it they can share. I'm a little afraid to try it on my main truck. I wish I had an old beater to test it on. Anybody have good results with it? Have any with bad results? How about pictures? Any info would be appreciated.

Junk...I wish I cared to go into it deeper, but I don't. I know a lot of guys that tried it to save a few bucks, but it just isn't worth it. If you want Line-X, get Line-X.

Ive used herculiner on alot of stuff, never actually used it on a truck bed though. Has held up great. If you dont treat it with the UV protectant, it does fade in color. So im not sure how it would hold up to heavy duty abuse, but how it works all depends on how well you prep the surface. Dont prep properly, and it will lift and peel, just like paint.

My first bedliner was a Permatech. My second bedliner was a Rhino. My third bedliner was a Line-X. There will be no other liner than a Line-X. Period.

hmm... I read on one site they said it can get tacky in hot summer heat. Thats sounds pretty horrible. I would hate to see it coming off on stuff. I am good at surface prep and painting though. I pretty sure I would enjoy doing it. Thats one reason I am interested in it, but still afraid of how it would hold up.

I would love a line-x. Just not sure I want to drop the $500 bills right now.

I have used Herculiner in the past on truck beds and never had any problems with hard use. Never had it get tacky or rub off onto anything that was in the truck bed. Bed liner is all about the prep work. No matter what kind of liner you get or how much you pay for it, it's going to be crap if it's not prepped properly, just like a paint job.

I had it on my 01 2500 and it was junk... i prepped the surface well and then put on a hefty coat and it looked good until it dried... it dried with speckles of white paint showing through... after about a year of looking at a shoty liner job i added another coat and it looked alot better but it just didnt have the durability that my linex and my rhino liner does

Laid Herculiner on my last truck's bed. I read almost 400 reviews which were nearly all great. I went above and beyond for prep work before rolling it. Don't waste your time and money, the stuff is low grade worthless. I live in Florida and had to recoat (after already laying 3 coats) within 6 months from the heat shrinking the product down to bare spots everywhere. Besides that it fades to a greyish black within 2 months. The only purpose it served was a good non-skid for throwing stuff in the back. I originally bought it to seal my bed after years of a plastic bedliner had rubbed, and rusted small spots in my bed. When you do need to pull or drag something heavy out of it, the stuff pulls off down to bear metal like a hot knife through butter. spend the money on something with a guarantee and professional use.

I have it on my tailgate in white (inside) 3 coats and 18 monthes and no complaints.

The stuff is tough !

I have it on my truck. Yes, it shrinks as it dries, leaving gaps where there is no liner. Yes, within 6 months is becomes "chalky" and will rub off on anything you put in the bed. The chalky residue does not come out of clothes, and it takes a few washes to get it off your hands. Never, ever use this stuff unless you're just looking for a cheap coating for your frame.
