Have You Ever Towed A Bear?

As a new Silverado owner, this forum has been a great resource for all kinds of information, which keeps me sane when little things come up and seeing the variety of simple mods that can be done. This weekend I was part of the Redbull Flugtag in Long Beach, CA, and had a few photos that I thought were too interesting to not share:

A little background: I ran the Baja SAE off road race team at UCLA last year before I graduated, and the guy taking over my spot decided he wanted to build something ridiculous and do Flugtag to keep busy over the summer. I don't have anything to do right now since I'm waiting for grad school to start, so I helped with the construction, and towed the beast from UCLA in Westwood to Rainbow Harbor in the LBC. We got a lot of looks and some crazy reactions along the way. I'll update this thread when we get some pics / video of us launching it off of the pier. It looked good on the big screen, so I'm hoping for some awesome footage!

ive hit a bear. bear-1 f-350-0

Ouch! Can't imagine... Where did that happen?

At first we moved our bear with 6 motorcycle straps crossed underneath on the lower frame, and just going down Westwood Blvd at 10 mph had it rocking so bad it was up on two legs... Would have been bear-5, parked cars-0...Good thing it was at 4AM and deserted, but it would have really sucked to hit something with that bear, haha! 6 heavy duty ratchet straps solved our problem though.

I'm waiting for my chance to take one with a rifle and make him into a rug, but we did manage to kill ours... here's the update I promised:

The drag on the drive wasn't bad, kept it under 50 on surface streets, the 405 probably would have been the end of us. My buddy who jumped got these from the Contra Costa Times...
