Factory Muffler Removal

I am putting a 3" body lift on pretty soon and will want to remove the factory muffler so it isn't there anymore. is there a good way to do this without making the exhaust much louder? i want it to be as quiet to stock as it can.

 

where should i cut it off at?

uh...why would you want to remove it so it isnt there? removing the muffler and not putting another one on will make it drastically louder....

The muffler is mounted to your frame, so it won't be any lower after the body lift. The only thing that you'll notice hanging lower (exhaust wise) is the tail pipe. You can cut it off so the exhaust dumps over the rear axle and keep your muffler. If you want quiet, then you'll want to throw rocks at it if you remove the muffler, you'll hate it.
