Hd Bumper On A 1500?

Hey folks. Just has a crazy thought. I've got a 1500 that is chromed out because it is a Texas Edition. Really like the chrome. I was wondering if you can swap the stock lower front bumper for a HD lower bumper (the chrome one).

 

Thoughts? I know some people are anti-chrome, and that's ok. You don't have to comment!

were you thinking of a bumper like "road armour" because they make them and im going get one for my 2002 gmc 1500 when i get a spare $1500 as for making it chrome im pretty sure you can get it chromed, not sure were you can get it done. because im pretty sure you can't get them chromed from the factory

Yes it can. The end caps will bolt right up. You might have to drill new holes in the frame though to lower the bumper slightly, due to the end caps being larger. Or you can probably get the 2500 mounting brackets.

I'm going to say no because the HD obviously has a different frame, so the mounting brackets would be different. You could get the chrome end caps though and swap them out. Be warned there are about 100 small bolts that hold all the bumper components together and there is a definite process for disassembly and reassembly.

It can definately be done, either by drilling or using the HD bumper mounting brackets.
