Well here is a before and after pic of the detail yesterday. Took all of 20 min.

Used an old wash mitt rung out using water/car wash soap.

Then wiped down and dried.

Then sprayed with more shine (tire spray). Turned out nicely.

No

I will tell you why

The old formula yes it would but now they have a new water based formula spray and dust/dirt doesnt stick like it did with the old formula.

Your clean up prompted me to do the same thing. I used armor all protective wipes to put a little shine then used paper shop towels to wipe off the excess. It looks much better now that the upper radiator hose isn't covered with what looked like pollen and road grime. Sorry, no pictures of mine.

Its amazing how dirtier the engine bays get on the gmt900's. My 800 never was this bad after about a yr. I added some foam weatherstripping towards the front (you can see in my photo) this has seemed to help after I put it on. We will see now that it is clean how well it actually works.

Okay, I took the pics of mine today since I was bored and it was such a nice day. I also added a little something to my tailgate (much to the dismay of most on this board.) I think it looks pretty good though.

Looks awesome guys! I would have to agree the GMT 900's are by far the most work to keep up on I have ever had.

I spray mine down, use the air gun to dry it off, then hit it with Trim Shine and wipe off any extra.

I must say I love the red plug wires mine has, my cousin's '07 Avalanche has them, and my dad's '08. When did they change that, '09?

I am going to say yes, I remember seeing 2008 trucks with them but haven't seen an 09+ with them yet. Edit: I am very surprised I haven't been reamed about the z71 logo on the tailgate. Guess that is what I get for assuming.

Looks fine. I had them on the doors of my 2000. I will post a pic tonight

Oh yea also with the CAI what did Justin have to do different with your tune? Did you get any details.

He just asked what intake I had and then worked his magic. I didn't ask any really specific questions. I am sure the adjustments were very slight and likely a slightly different zero on the LTFTs since I am pretty sure the GMPP intake doesn't screw with the MAF sensor readings like some of the aftermarket intakes do.

i would have to disagree with you on that. both of my GMT800 pickups get extremely nasty after serious offroading.
