LMAO...With the exception of the trucks, every vehicle in that ad was a complete and total POS. Those were some of the darkest years of GM products in my opinion.

did no one else notice that they had a car claiming to get 58 mpg from a good 30 years ago, but chevy cant make a car like that now? What gives?

Just think though, back in the mid-80s Motor Trend's car of the year was the Chevrolet Caprice.. for several years I believe in the 80s! Then the Caprice got the car of the year award again in 91. Of course that was the RWD V-8 sedan, none of that silly crappy V-6 nonsense.

It weighed about 1,000 lbs. less (SWAG) and didn't have crap for emissions requirements. It was light, dirty, and dangerous in case of an accident.

 

Geo Metro got about the same mileage...But a motorcycle would cut it in half if it t-boned it at 12 mph.
