I'm looking to purchase a brake controller for my 09' Silverado. I like the Tekonsha P3. The problem is I dont see that the make a harness adapter that works with my truck. I tried emailing Tekinsha but they didnt reply? The wiring adapters they have on their site only go up to 07'. Does anyone know if this controller will work with my truck. Does anyone reccomend this or another controller? Thanks for the help!

I have that controller for my 2010 Silverado. You don't need to order a harness that plugs into the truck. GM no longer puts them in the truck. All you need to do is connect the wires under the dash to the wires on the controller, no plug needed. You are also going to need to connect the two wires under the hood to the studs on front of the fuse box.

If you can be about 4-weeks patient, I'll give you one with harness for a REALLY good price :D

 

:dunno: Can't I unplug the brake controller from the truck anymore :eek:

If you get the Tekonsha P3 your gonnnnna wonder why you, already had not bought it yet...... I love both of mine :D ...
