Not sure if this will post properly, but I finally broke down and traded my 04 in, deals are too good to pass up and they gave me a great deal on my trade in.

Destination chagre $1,350 :)

Where on Earth were they delivering it to, for that money. Is this charge common in the States? In the UK we'd tell them to swivel and go buy one somewhere else. That is nothing short of someone pulling a gun on you, make you drop your pants and mugging you !!

Where do they delivery it to? Is it just to the dealership you bought it off or to your home?

The Dealership in my town charges about the same or maby alittle higher for a destination charge...Thats why I went out of state to find a better deal and avoid paying the fee.

in Canada.... the destination fee is a standard fixed cost on a new vehicle for all automakers ... doesn't matter if the dealer is one block from the assembly factory or half way across the country.... everyone sees the same 'destination fee'.

O.K. Managed to get a picture into my signature at least. Try to a few pics when I can stop playing with the truck. I love how the newer Silverado's have the exhaust coming straight out the back, I never even noticed before. The new 6.2L engine is noticeably stronger than my 04's 5.3 was. We'll see how much it costs me in gas per week. Very happy with the truck considering I never even test drove it. More pics to come. One more thing I went with the Max Trailering package instead of the Z71 this time around, still have 4 X 4 but what a difference in ride comfort, much smoother ride, and the new motor can sure whip me back quick.
