Foggy Exterior Headlight

I know usually condensation appears on the inside and thats what I thought it was but I have confirmed that I have a foggy exterior lens on headlights. Any suggestion to get this off? Father in law suggested an old tin of something called Glass Wax but considering its old and it doesn't mention plastic housing headlights, I wanted to ask. Suggestions?

Try Meguiars PlastX. It got some fairly heavy haze off of my Wife's Outlook headlights. Not sure how it works on real set-in haze though...

There are several threads on cleaning up the headlight plastic covers. You don't have to use the specific cleaners that you find on the Autoparts shelf's. Some have had good luck with different type of cleaners from Mothers and Eagle 1. I can't remember right off hand. Some have even used toothpaste with good results. I found this link to a good "How To"

Glass Wax was "invented" during wwII to clean and remove the haze from aircraft canopies and wind screens usually made of plastic. I'd try a small corner to check it out. It's not likely that it will do any harm.

Okay...not only wow, but holy shit. Glass Wax was like getting new headlights. Took less than 5 minutes for both headlights. Wiped on like a quick wax and wiped off when dry. I will see if I have some before shots because the after is so worth it.
