Rust Proofing And Sound Deadening?

Recommended Posts

Ok second post to the site. I am sure this question has been asked. How many of you get your trucks oil sprayed or rust proofed (Krown or some other outfit)

Second has anyone ever had sound proofing done? They spray under truck and wheel wells. If so was it worth it?

i think rust proofing definitely works i would like to get mine completely rustproofed. but for mean time i just get rubberized rust paint and paint the high rust areas. painting the wheel wells definitely looks better.post-74677-1286243438_thumb.jpg

Krown or Rust Cure Formula 3000. those are the only 2 I would trust

EDIT: Canadian Navy did a test and Formula 3000 was best... Krown was second... from a competition of about 6

I had my truck oil gaurded and the day I got it back I installed the wheel well liners so there is oil behind them. When I get it done next year I'm going to remove the tail lights so the operator can stick the oil wand in the tail light openings to spray the inside of the box sides even better.

Ziebart is more of a layering, (at least it use to be?) which traps and hold moisture between it and the panelling.

Much further off using an oil spray such as Krown or Rust Check.

I use Rust Check because the guy who sprays my truck treats it like it was his own, no dry spots anywhere when he is done, can't say the same about the krown guy who did my 97, way too many missed/dry spots!!

i got mine krowned yesterday.....they took the taillights out and sprayed inside the bedsides

they did a great job

That's what their suppose to do to ensure they get it everywhere.

Did they also drill holes and spray the product in those, again, that is what they are suppose to do.

Be careful as there are some schisters out there, take a look under the truck, pop the hood etc and have a good look around, if you see any missed or dry spots take it back and tell them to do the whole truck as that is what you paid for!
