Got Fuel? Can Any One Help!

I have a 2001 gmc sierra 2500 4.7 and it won't start... I was coming home from los angeles when my truck died. when I try to start it it won't if I leave my key in the On position for a minute and then start it it dose but just for a second and dies like no fuel is getting to the motor what do u guys think I should do?

Check fuel filter and fuel pump.

It sounds like the fuel pump crapped out, I'm affraid.

WHAT IS A 4.7? AND PLEASE NO CAPS WE ARE NOT BLIND....p.s do you hear the fuel pump prime?

4.8 ya I can hear the pump prime but I makes a wired noise when it does

Sounds like you might have your answer. Again check the filter and take pressure reading

Well it was the fuel pump I put it in yesterday and it started right up
