Adding A Third Party Trailer Brake Controller.

This may seem a remedial question, but, I was think of installing a Tekonsha PRODIGY brake controller to my '07 Silverado Classic. I installed a trailer hitch to the vehicle myself and the truck had a pre existing wire harness that hooked up to the hitch receiver. I use the accompanying 7 pin to 4 pin adapter to connect to most trailers, simple as that. I am pretty sure I do not have the integrated trailer brake controller as I cannot find the rpo listed for it with my truck. So as far as installing this third party controller, is it really as simple as finding a place of attachment and plugging the required wiring harness in the panel underneath the driver's side dash? Seems remarkably simple... too simple. But, if I am able to avoid installation charges, I will and I am sure someone here has experience with this. Thanks for help in advance.
