Fuel Light and Gauge.

[nonstop]

Pulled up to my local gas station with a 1/4 tank of gas still in the tank, no light on.

Filled'er up, payed and got back into the truck, started it and the fuel light lit up and the gauge went to E.

 

I continued to drive home and noticed that after about 5 min the light went out and the gauge started moving very slowly to F.

 

Anyone experince anthing like this?

I've heard a lot of trucks have had problems w/ the sending unit going bad.  Sounds like that may be your problem.  There may be a TSB out on this and I'm sure someone has got it.

I take it you are out of warranty then.

I'm not sure, a few other guys will probably see this thread and chime in as I know a few guys have had similar problems.
