pm26 Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I just saw a new 2011 Ford Super Duty F350 dually crew cab diesel with a $ 62,000 sticker! And it was a 2 wheel drive truck! This means at least $ 65,000 for an equivalent 4 WD version. This is getting ridiculous. That's more than I paid for a new 3/2/2 house 20 years ago.($ 58,000). I think that Ford trucks are priced higher than either GM or Chrysler made trucks. At least based on what I have seen so far for 2011 models.

Just did a quick build and price online for both the Ford and the GMC. I chose the cheapest model, and only selected diesel engine. Both were dual wheel, and both where crew with 8' box. Ford was $54160 and the GMC was $55825. Seems pretty close to me. Now when you take in the deals they both have now, the Ford is $47929 and the GMC is $49825. This was from Canadian sites, and I did not bother to go through the standard equipment, and only did the base vehicle for both (Ford XL and GMC W/T). Seems pretty close to me.
[email protected] Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 In a nutshell, all HD diesels are expensive...period.

renegadeking Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 about a month ago a local guy drove off the ford lot with a $98,000 Harley davidson i believe it was a f350 6.7 diesel that purchase will sting in the wallet for a while, actually for a VERY long time

Ford has these extremely pricey special edition packages that drive the price through the roof. So even if apple to apple comparison is pretty close for different makes, these editions are the price leaders.
renegadeking Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 ya ford has a couple of them Harley davidson, platinum, Lariat chrome, and King ranch the only good thing about this models is that you can get the 6.2 litre in them not to mention the f150 raptor
Snow White Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 price out a nissan and toyota if you think ford is expensive..... for a 1500 at that.
Mckenzie Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 You ain't lying, thats more than we paid for our nice home in a nice neighborhood.

It wouldn't be that bad if the Ford guys wouldn't go around running their mouth about how much better their brand of vehicles is all the damn time. Their always the first ones to start the BS and from mostly what Ive seen their all assholes. They act like if you own anything but a Ford your lower than dirt.

Why do I get the feeling somebody (*cough*JIM*cough*) missed something along the line.......... I mean I haven't met many ford fans that slam the brand in their avatars...... Just sayin.... ...Or is there something I'm missing? If somebody wants to shell out that much for a rig off the showroom floor more power to em. That somebody won't be me that's for sure! I liked the Superduties when they first came out ('99), but I lose more interest in them the more Ford effs em up when they redesign them.
jro909 Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 how else would they get the money to pay mike rowe to do commercials?
