The Levi Fix

Recommended Posts

Problem:

Seat is collapsing because foam is being cut by stupidly thin wires used in seat frame to support cushion.

Solution:

Remove Seat

Remove Cushion

Insert large scrap of Levis

Replace Cushion

Repace Seat

Enjoy the renewed comfort of your seat which is supporting your ass better than it has in years

Awesome idea! I gotta ask.....will Wranglers work also? Got plenty of worn out Wranglers. :)

Seats in my Impala were absolute junk...used a folded towel the same way. At least this seat frame design doesn't have a pipe running directly under your thighs.

Wranglers will work but your radio will be stuck on the country station...

Now that made me laugh, cause I thought back to the Dale earnheart commercials where they're playing football in the mud, who would play football in mud like that?

It's sad that the seat is designed in such a way that so many of us have had to take these primitive steps to fix. I'm not even overweight (I can see it for 300 pounders, I'm only 185). I had 3 of the wires snap on me too in the past, had to put in a new seat frame.
