2011 Yukon Video Issue And ?

First I want to say I look forward to finding answers and contributing on these forums. I had a F-150 for the last 6 years and frequented that forum alot!!

Now to my issue/problem. We just picked up our 2011 Yukon 2500 XL. I ordered it with the RSE and 3rd row DVD screen. Looking in the manual when I add an external video source through the AUX inputs on the back of the center console, I should be able to alternate which screen gets which feed, by pressing the AUX button on the remote.

So if we put a movie in the DVD/GPS player in the dash both screens will play, adding PS2 to the rear AUX inputs, I press AUX on the remote once and both screens switch to PS2, that is normal, but a 2nd press of the AUX puts movie in 3rd row and PS2 in second row, (does not happen) and a third press of the AUX button should put movie on 2nd row, and PS2 on 3rd row (does not happen). pressing the AUX button only cycles both screens at the same time, no separation.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be he issue? This 100% from the factory! If someone experienced this before and there is are a couple problem solving steps I could take to either try myself or tell the dealership about. I am not looking forward to having the dealership rip apart my truck after only having it 4 days!!!!

I'm thinking that this is a misprint in the owners manual and the system is working correctly. Maybe swing by your dealer and try it on another lot vehicle with the same system?

If not, it sounds like a radio setup or possible internal radio issue.

Before I go to the dealer i was hoping to get some insight on what the problem could be, so i could minimize unnecessary removal of truck parts!!! For $50,000 the vehicle should work as advertised!!!

Trust me, I understand your dissatisfaction but sometimes, things get copied from manual to manual on accident.

If it isn't a normal operational concern, it needs a radio, period. The radio is what controls the switching, from what

I can find.

Just take all of your stuff with you and ask to try and use it, as the owners manual states (I read it, you're doing it correctly!) on another identically built vehicle. I say identically built because there are so many variances between

audio/video systems nowadays on these vehicles and they all work differently. Show a tech exactly what you're talking about, don't waste your time showing a service adviser or saleman.

And, let us know what you find!
