Headrests Gmt900

Do the front seat headrests (bucket seats) in the GMT-900's move at all? My wife hates the angle they are at. I removed the entire head rest and turned it around but this is incorrect and shouldnt be used as such. They seem to be tilted way to much forward?

Nope Ryan,They just move up and down,no tilt adjustment.

I do remember on the '99-'02 GMT800 trucks with the uplevel trim (LT/SLT) the headrests on those had tilt adjustment.

They dont bother me but she hates driving in it (cant sleep). And guess what we are taking it out of town this weekend. Yay I will get to hear about them for the next 4 days

no they are actually different??? Its an 08 they dont have such a steep angle.

Hmm weird,I would have thought they were the same,I'm going to have to look at mine and compare it to some new ones on our lot.

yea that would be an easy fix except I have seat covers that cover the headrest and seat and are a PITA to remove. I think she is going to have to deal with it

This may sound stupid but why cant u just spin them around so the angle is reversed?? so the front of them face the back then they will be leaning towards the back.... Just a thought...

I covered this in the original post

If you get into an accident there would be no neck support (basically there is no headrest because of the negative angle) and my bet is it would do some serious spinal damage (head flying back with no support)

I can't stand the headrests.

Tahoe headrests are more comfortable? I'll try some out the next time I'm at the dealers. If I knew they'd fit I would be tempted to order a set.

Anything would be better than the stock headrests. My back forces me to sit very upright which angles them right into the back of my head.

Next week I will pull one off my Tahoe and try it in the Silverado and see the difference(s).
