My Friend Is Looking At Buying A Lifted Silvy

Like the title says, I have a buddy looking at a 2006 crew cab silverado, z71 4x4, with a 6" RCD lift, 45,xxx miles. I am not real knowledgeable on the RCD lifts and he came to me for an opinion.

 

Therefore, what are your thoughts on the suspension? I have heard bad things, then heard people have had no issues. They are not very common around here so I came to you guys. Any comments for my buddy?

 

I searched the forum and didn't really find the concrete info I was looking for. They seem pretty sparse around this forum too.

 

The first thing I saw with the lift is the four bar torsion setup they have, or whatever it is, it looks way different.

I don't know much about RCD's torsion bar setup, but I've always heard good things about their products.

 

Looks like a nice kit to me.

That setup is for the GMT 900's though right? That setup does look great, just worried about the older torsion bar front end lift.

 

I could be way off though. All my buddies with lifts run BDS and one runs Pro Comp on his '03 silverado.

Thats their 99-06 kit.

 

This is the GMT-900 kit. It comes with spacers.

Ah yes I see, thanks Matt. You said you always have heard good things about their products, ever heard of any quirks like keeping alignment, or bad angles?

No, but like you mentioned...they aren't popular. It's just that the small amount of reading that I have done on other forums concerning that company has been positive. I'm in no way an authority on RCD.
