was looking to pick up a 4 wheeler this winter for plowing the driveway but came across this. let me know if it seems like a good deal. seen the truck in person it has 130000 miles, theres a decent dent on the passenger side half way between the box and door, but the door opens and closes fine good seal. some rust in the rear fenders but other than that it seems to be a decent truck.

Something don't add up. The price on it seems a little too good to be for what it is (considering it comes with a plow), but then again I'm assuming it's the 5.4L gasser.

I love the 1st Gen. Superduties, but for me personally the Gassers are not an option.:D But that's just me.

What's the matter? Don't like spark plugs shooting out of the head???

if there isn't anything majorly wrong with it i would buy it. If its the 7.3 you will have a great engine. (my dad has one and i have never heard nothing wrong with them.) i also never heard nothing bad on the gas engine, except that its a thirsty engine.

My buddies F150 did that twice, and then after the dealership wouldn't help him out... he stopped driving it.

I think that emblem on the front fender is the V10 emblem, but I can't really tell. I don't think the V8 gas engine had an emblem there, but the diesel did, as well as the V10 gas engine.

can you even get a v8 in a super duty cause i thought it was just a 5.4 v10

5.4 is a V8, 6.8 is the V10 and there have been 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 and now I think a 6.7 now for diesels.

I'm thinking she's either 5.4, or V10. If it does have the 7.3 than something is seriously wrong with it at that price. 130k isn't really that much in the way of mileage in the diesel world.

But then again, for it to be at that price, Gas or Diesel. You gotta figure it's had the piss driven out of it.

Price = Too good to be true.

I would go with the 4 - wheeler.

In my opinion there are a lot more uses for an ATV than a run down truck.

the v8s also have the emblem....to the OP do what your gut feels as right, if it has no serious problems then go for it. Ford builds a solid truck just as well as gm

You are correct. It was the Diesel that didn't have the emblem on the fender in 2000. The diesel emblem was on the door that year. For some reason thought, I think my BIl's truck (1999 F-350) had the emblem on the front fender for the diesel as well.

Bottom line, if that truck is a 2000 like it states, then it is no diesel.

That sounds like too good of a deal to be true. I would have a mechanic look that thing over real good before i bought it!

It does look like it might be the V10 but the pictures are a bit too small to tell for sure. My ex-girlfriends dad had a 2000 F250 Crew with the V10 and did that truck move! It was however a bit harsh on fuel consumption, especially when towing, which is why he traded at in that one in 2005 for a diesel. But he never had anything major go wrong with it that I heard.
