Rear Liner Pics?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys... I'm looking at buying the rear wheel liners OR I have also thought about undercoating/painting them black instead. Any pro or cons of either except for the price? My most important question is... do the factory wheel liners go down far enough to cover the space between the bed and frame?

Thanks!

I used some 3m aerosol bedliner. real easy to do, I would recommend it. Looks good. As you can see in my pics, I got too close when I first started and ended up with a small run, but unless you look for it it's un-noticeable and pretty cheap. clean em up with degreaser and scuff em up with some sandpaper and spray away. Don't forget to tape them off first.

I have the plastic liners too. Only thing I am worried about is the small rocks, dirt, etc that collects at the lower leading and trailing edges of the liner next to the opening for the wheel wells (there is a small pocket there). Stuff collects there on mine. I do not really see how it can be prevented. The truck has also been undercoated. I offered to take the liners out for the undercoating appliers but they said it wasn't needed. Wish I had.

I like both options... the liners due them covering up the gap... and the spray due to thats less $$'s  I'm off this next week so I will have sometime to get it done...

the liners on mine don't cover the frame, stops just at the top of it. Has GM changed them recently ( purchased my 2011 about 3 - 4 weeks ago)? Mine came included in a package.

How do the GM Liners install? I guess are they a drill or no drill?

They come with self tapping screws that are used to hold them in place, but most people don't use them at all. The liners are a tight fit, and pretty much "snap into place". You shouldn't even have to remove the wheels/tires to get them in place...at least I didn't and have read of more people that didn't also.
