Do You Regret Buying Your Black Truck?

Well i'm starting to get my next truck narrowed down... ok maybe not so much. Still can't decide which looks better z71 or nht but anyway, i just can't decide on black vs. white. IMO the black trucks look amazing when cleaned up! white trucks look great too, but the black just has something about it. I've owned black and white vehicles and the black seems to look incredible for the first say... 20 mins before it's dirty again. A quick one over with a california car duster seems to work good for a few days, then you're right back to a dirty vehicle that needs washed again. I refuse to buy anything but a crew cab after owning my last one for several years, but i have to say that's a lot of paint to take care of! Only black vehicle i had was a 99 gtp and only white one was a little ford ranger and compared to my pewter crew cab duramax, those were like half the paint to take care of. Just want to get some opinions from you guys. So, do you regret buying a black truck or regret NOT buying a black truck?

I didn't have a choice of colour as I purchased used. However, if I were buying new, I would go with white over black.

If I had my choice of any of the colours, pewter.

For a daily driver I would never go with a black (or dark) vehicle again. I had the indigo blue and it was a pain to keep clean (looked great clean though). The only vehicle I would consider in black would be a new camaro. It would not be a daily driver and hardly get dirty :D

My third black truck in a row, obviously I don't regret buying the color. If I wanted a fleet truck I would by a work truck in white. I wan't a show-stopper. Definately worth the up-keep!

I love the color Black on ANY vehicle... pure sexy! :D Here in Texas its pretty easy to keep a truck clean with dry winters and summers. lol I like white, but on a truck it looks to much like a goverment/city truck. Silver or grey would be my next choice.

I have a white truck. Personally I think it's very bland, not to mention it seems like half the vehicles on the road are white. Hopefully my next one won't be white...

I LOVE the black. It can be a pain to keep clean but looks soo damn good when it is. and even a "clean" black truck with some mud on it looks great! This is my 5th black truck btw....

Is it really going to be that hard to find what color I want if i go used?

I wouldn't think so.

For me, I got such a great deal that the colour didn't matter. ;)

BLACK!

I have had 7 new black GM trucks!

Wow, that's pretty diehard in your choice of color! I enjoy taking a day and cleaning the truck up in my garage and having a few beers but i'm just worried it'll be too much work. Guess I should mention I live in northwestern Ohio where the winters make it damn near impossible to keep anythign at all clean. I think i'm leaning twords black now! I got a nice porter cable set last year when I still had my camaro, with all the different pads and compounds, so maybe this will be a good thing for me to go black.

Guess I have a few things figured out now... Black Sierra 1500 crew cab, SLT, (coming from a pretty low trim level duramax, I want EVERY bell and whistle I can get) 6.2 with the 6 speed.

Now I have to figure out if I want the NHT package or the z71 package (still haven't got a reply on what the difference is between appearance is on the 2)

And if it's going to be better for me to buy new or get a used 2009+ truck.

Any more help, feel free to pm me or chime in. Thanks everyone!!

Well, if I'm not mistaken, you need to get a 2010+ for the 6.2L unless you get a 2007+ Denali.

Really? I could have sworn that 09 is when you could get the 1500's with the 6.2- 6-speed combo?
