Does anyone know how much current the 12v cigarette lighters are good for?

Check your fuse block. I think they usually have a 20 amp fuse. What are you wanting to power?

I got a 600 Watt inverter. Curious how well the cigarette lighter would do with a heavy load instead of wireing it directly to the battery. However it looks like Ill have to wire it to the battery.
