Removing Relay

Can anyone tell me how to remove the relay from a 2008 Sierra Denali? Truck will be parked in Canada for a week while we go on a snowmobile trip. Theft is high up there so just taking extra measures.

Thanks

Are you serious? Theft is high up here... Where are you going to park it? Really, most people in Canada don't even lock the doors in their house unless you live in Toronto. That's really funny. Sure it happens but not like down there... We all live in igloo's and kick everyone's ass in hockey; no time to steal a truck :-) really don't take this too seriously, but come on lock the truck and call it a day.

I travel to Canada frequently for work and about the only risk I've heard is in the Montreal area high-end 4x4s have a nasty habit of not being there when you come back. Most of Canada is safe in that regard- on my last trip to Halifax I got to my hotel absolutely beat one night and I left my rental (a Caddy no less) unlocked with my Garmin GPS turned on sitting on the window mount. I couldn't believe it was still there the next morning.

If somebody wants your truck bad enough, they will take it. And trying to do tricks like removing a relay may just pizz the thieves off and they will trash it. Maybe removing all of the plug wires would be a better idea.

What part of Canada will you be in? Are you trailering snowmobiles to a trailhead or a park and leaving the truck?

Sooooo.....instead of just locking the doors and calling it good, you are taking out a fuse and are putting it where?? The fuse is not that big and you can damage it easily.....or worse, lose it while travelling the trails on a moving, rocking sled.

Where are you going to sled? I have lived all across Canada and have travelled to the States/ Mexico and Europe.....Never had a problem except in the larger cities, which are very far from the sledding areas.

We went East of Quebec. Went form N. NH to the Gaspe. There is a lot of theft so pulling the starting relay is just a step in protecting it form being stolen. What they do is call in the VIN number to a dealer and the dealer makes a key and the truck is stolen. So even if they got a key it would not start and just makes more effort for them to get it.
