I am about to put a lift on my sierra 1500 and I'm not extactly sure if i should go with BDS or RC. I'm going for a 4 inch lift and they both seem like great lifts to me. I wanted to hear yalls opinions

If all u want is 4" i would go 2.5" level and 1.5" bl cheap and easy. Like his truck posted above. If not just get the rc 5" kit its only $999.00 nothing wrong with it.

7.5" RC here and it's great. $965 to my door and that included the kicker bars :fart:

I had some of the same questions when looking to do something with my truck. I ended up going with the BDS I felt the warranty and the quality of the kit itself was worth the extra. Some people may disagree. I have ridden in NNBS trucks with the RCX 5" kit and they arent bad they do not ride as good as the BDS but it could be something thats fixed with a set of shocks also. There is a huge price difference so you simply have to ask yourself what kind of money do you want to put out to do the job. I have no idea what a RCX upgraded to bilsteins would run but it may be an interesting option to price out.

I am extremely pleased with my BDS system and I am sure many are pleased with their Rough Country lifts also. The only negative stuff I have seen on Rough Country seems to come from that 3 or 3.5 inch kit they have. The 5" kit works great with 33" tires there is an entire thread on another forum with pics of that set up.

I agree with everyone above, especially with the 6". I also would suggest a setup similar to mine (CCM leveling kit and Zone 1.5" BL) for a 4" lift before I spent that much money on the BDS 4" kit. If your wanting something taller, then I would do the BDS 6" or RC 5"

Talked to a guy today with rc 7.5" he has put 68k miles on his and says everything has been great and he hasnt had to replace any parts and tires ware normal. U can tell this truck gets beat on and goes off road a lot. Dog boxes in bed and tons of scratches orange stained underbody. Good clay mud.

I've heard the 7.5" was good too. You would just need to step up to 35's (and possibly re-gear) because 33's would look stupid with that much lift IMO.

I have pictures of the fabtech lift and 305/55/20's on my truck in the gallery in my profile.. No one has ever said" wow those tires look too small.. ( fabtech is same or bigger lift than rc).

Now that I have 35s I am actually adding 1.5" of lift to the front and 1.5" to the rear of the truck just to maintain the clearances i have with the fabtech and 33's..

I wouldnt spend near that much on a lift.. save your money for the wheels and tires, if your only looking for 3-4 inches.. do a 3" block in there rear and spacers up front or get new keys and turn them up a little with shock extensions.. you will save probably 600-1000 bucks depending on the kit, and your truck will look the same or better. JMO.. Good luck

Right now the yukon has a 3" block in the rear and new keys turned up slightly and i just put 315/75/16,s under it.. they fit great with NO RUBBING! 34.8" x 12"
