P0446 Help

hey everyone how ya'll doing? ive been having a p0446 so i went to the dealer and bought the relocaton kit and installed it. 4 days later same code p0446. what else could this be? im begining to wonder if the purge valve or canister is to blame.

hey neto you changed the purge valve and canister? did that solve your problem

Did the relocation kit include a new vent valve?

If not, I would bench test vent valve. Make sure it is not clogged, and solenoid valve opening / closing as it should.

My truck was throwing the p0446 code and it had a broken wire close to where it plugs into the vent valve.

Yes. One thing at a time:) P0446 usually indicates clog.

1) Bench test vent valve. If OK:

2) Check electrical connections to valve, check voltage to same. If OK:

3) Check hose from valve to cannister for blockage. If OK:

4) Check cannister for blockage / dirt within.

hey bob d now when i installed the new line for the new vent valve. i noticed the hole on the canister clogged looking with dirt or something. i had the exact same code until i replaced it then 4 days later it came back. its aggravating as hell
