Thermostat Info Request

I need to know the temperature rating of the stock thermostat in my 07 4.3L engine. the info is needed for a custom tune I'm planning in the future. As an FYI, I called the service dept. at the local GMC truck dealer and was told the thermostat opend at 212 degrees. My digital temp gauge has never read more that 195-200 and the truck usually runs at 190-195.

Pull the stat and look at it should be a 195F
