Component Speakers V. Non-component Speakers

I sold my '65 and the plan was to take the year old stereo out of the '65 and put it in my '07 Silverado. The problem became quickly evident that the speakers would not fit, nor would the sub. So I have bought a new sub and I am looking to get some new 6.25in speakers.

Now the guy at the shop indicated that I need to put component speakers in the front, and reagulars in the back..the problem I had w/ this is the price difference, omponents are quite a bit more expensive. As I have been reasearching the topic I have found several brands that have the "tweeter" mounted to the 6.25 sub, would this suffice? I hope this all makes sense as my radio knowledge is not that extensive. But my thinking is that if I go with some 6.25 that produce better high's anyway, like infinities, than I should be able to get away with running 4 of them and having a decent sounding system. I am running a kendwood deck, and a pioneer 10in low profile sub, I am not planning on running the 6.25 through an amp, they will run off of the deck.

Any suggestions?

You don't need to add a component system. Component systems use a cross over to separate the highs, mids, and lows to the different speaker components (highs to tweeters, mids/lows to the woofers), while the coaxial speakers incorporate all of the parts into one speaker, though it will have a tweeter attached. The "guy at the shop"(who, more than likely, works on commission) said that you need to put components up front and regulars in the back because the component system cost a whole lot more than the regular speakers. If you're wanting an award winning sound system, then, by all means, go for the components. If you just want a nice sounding system, coaxial speakers will work just fine. Back when I was into the "ground pounding, hard hitting, rattle the mirrors" sounds, I used a component system in my Blazer and Monte Carlo. When I got my Bronco II and wanted something on a modest budget, I used Infinity coax speakers in the doors and everything sounded fine.
