Best Horror Movie

What do you guys think is the best horror movie (or movie series) ever?

I love the Lepprechaun series,that gets my vote.

Well, I had to vote other as I like Sci-fi, so my vote goes for the "Alien" series - this however, may not quite fit into the horror genre, General. ???

if you mean horror as in how good it is a terrifying you, NO ONE I've talked to has argued the "the ring" is second to anything. It is so horrifying its wrong. The effect is mostly only in the theather though, the way the movie is set up.

Horror or Gore? - The ones listed are mostly gore type flicks (lots of blood). For real horror (truely bigtime scares) my picks are:

The Exorcist (There's yet to be a scarier movie ever made)

and

Psycho (The original black & white version)

My girlfriend was over the other night and wanted to watch silence of the lambs, and saturday night we watched hannibal. She really wants to see red dragon now. Not that I mind, it's about time she starts to like decent movies. They are awesome movies, not so much scary as suspensefull.

for the poll choices, I'm going to have to say other. I can't think of the scariest movie I've seen, but none of those are jumping out at me.
