I've wanted to add some sort of a V8 badge to my truck for a while now but could never find one that I liked that would have the right font for my truck and be the right size. Well I finally saw the one I wanted a couple weeks ago. This guy I know just bought a brand new GMC Canyon pickup with the 5.3L V8 and it had these awesome V8 badges on the each side that would look awesome on my truck. So I was talking to him about it and he was saying that he didn't like them on there as he wanted to keep his truck as a sleeper so he could shock people with it. This truck goes like a bat outta hell from what I'm told! Either way he took it to the dealer and had them removed and gave them to me!

 

So now I need to first off decided where I'm putting them and how I will attach them. Any suggestions on either?

 

My ideas for where to put them are beside the Silverado on the doors, or on the front fenders near the headlights either in the middle or near the bottom. I may take some pictures when it stops snowing again and get your opinions after seeing them. I have one I'm leaning towards but I'm curious to see other people's opinions.

Most emblems are put on with two side tape you can get the good stuff from a good parts store 3M makes a good grade be sure to use automotive grade and not house hold!

A guy on here added a badge to the grill, between the bars. I thought that looked great. I don't care for badges on the paint. Hard to clean around.

Yeah any pics? I searched a bit and count find much, saw one with big V and small 8 but it was not a full truck shot so dunno if that is legit or not.

I think I remember seeing a guy with a 6.2L badge on the raised portion of the hood. I thought that looked pretty slick.. might be a neat place for the V8 badge too.

I like the front lower corner of the grill and the tailgate. Similar to what you see on the Colorado's
