Gps Update Question

My Suburban LTZ 2008 has the GPS option. I would like to use it but I can not find on the GM disk update the maps for Europe. Do you think that is possible to find them, I thought that the maker of the gps is not GM, but could be Garmin or other maker, and for the maps it could be Navteck or the other. Do you know the GPS maker and the brand of the maps ? Do you think that I can update my gps with Europe maps and where ?

Was the truck bought new in Europe? I find it odd that they would not provide the Europe maps instead of the North America ones.

The truck was bought in USA (Texas), he is always there, waiting shipping. These trucks are not exported to Europe officially, only by some individual "fools" like me !! That explains why it do not have the Europeans maps.
