What Would You Pay?

Give me some idea what 2001 2500 HD Crew Cab with 132000 miles LT with leather 6.0, Allison tranny private party, no dents or scratches, black, asking 11,000

I wouldn't pay over $8-9k. Gas prices are high and are going to continue to rise. It's a supply and demand market. Right now big trucks are flooding the market, and there isn't much of a demand. its a buyers market

6.0, Allison tranny

Only the Dmax has the allison

Yeah, no 6.0 came with the alli.

I paid 7k about a year ago for a 2500 sle 4x4 ecsb with 139k on it.

6.0 and 4l80.

No rust and new tires.

There are a lot of a-holes trying to get way more than what they are worth IMHO.

So 7-8k

Maybe I missed it, but, where is the truck located?

That is important. There is no way your gonna find an 05'ish 2500 around my area for less than 12k much less 9k. If it's close to 12k it's got almost 200k miles. Too much money IMHO.

I thought 7k for my 01' was a lot untils I started looking around. Hell I sold my rusty 90' 2500 rclb 4x4 fpr 3k. LOL!

since we dont know whether you mean gas or diesel,

$8,500 to $9,500 if its a gasser, and if its a diesel, $11,000 is definatley worth it

He says 6.0, so that is gas.

he also said allison, that could mean diesel or big block. neither of us will know until he lets us know.

Thanks everyone, trucks in East Tn. Didn't think Allison tranny was correct in 6.0 gas. I thought $9K would be a fair price for 01, sure would like 05 for that :jester:

I gave 11k for my 02 with 8.1 ally. 100k miles. good deal here in sw iowa. made my first tow voyage last weekend. pulled my 12k jayco designer. This truck has awesome power for not being dmax. Bout 10 mpg.Mileage hard to take with gas prices but am overall happy.

I just traded a 2005 CC 2500HD 4x4 LS off it great shape with 63,xxx miles on it for a 08 duramax. I got $17 trade and they had it listed for $22K. It sat there for three months, but they finally sold it. Have no idea what they got, but knowing the dealership they got close to what they were asking. I'd say if it's in good shape $10-11K isn't bad. The 6.0's don't get as bad of mileage as everyone thinks they do. My old one got a consistent 11-12.5 mpg. I've been tracking my LMM mileage since I bought it and over 6000 miles I've averaging about 13.5. I do a lot of slow driving around the farm, idling, and towing ocassionally. If I went strictly highway it would get 16-17 whereas my old 6.0 might get 13.5-14. So I'm kind of down on that now that diesel is $4.25/gal locally. But, the LMM pulls twice as good as the 6.0, however, the 6.0 is no slouch. They are VERY solid motors. With proper maintainance they will last a long time. Plus the 4L80E is pretty bullet proof as well. I'd say go for it.
