17" Xd Revolvers

Guys, I was wanting to lift my truck but now i have decided to stay with my current set up 2" RC level kit with 285/70/17 since i just bought the tires and have them on my stock wheels i have decided to keep the tires til they wear out. So i am wanting to get some different wheels to maybe give it a little better look, so i am looking at the 17x9 xd revolvers in +18 offset im just wondering how you think these will look i have never been a fan of small wheels but this is a pretty good looking rim. Is there guys that are running after market 17's on some 285's. Also i would like the tire to stick out a little more than it does now would this wheel make it do that without causing any rubbing problems. Thanks for the help.

I was wondering the same thing. I came very close to ordering some 17" kmc XD spy black and chrome, but I couldn't really visualize how it would look with my smaller wheel and tire, so I decided to get a Rhino liner first.

The 17x9 will look good will you current 285s. The +18 offset is perfect for you truck too. It shouldn't rub and the wheels will be closer to the fender lip. Stock offset and +31 and wheels that stick out of the fenders far are normally -12 offset. So you will be inbetween the two.

There are many guys running 17s on their trucks.

Well i looked and the majority of the XD wheels come in a +18 offset, However the revolver in a 17x9 only comes in a -12 so what would that mean as far as any rubbing issues or how it would look?

Lots of guys on here are running a -12 offset and 285s on trucks with a leveling kit with no issues. Thats my plan for mine when i get new tires. Dick Cepek DCII 17x9 wheels and some kind of 285 or 295 tires.

So basically the negative offset will just make the tires stick out more correct? But with my set up i shouldnt have any problems with rubbing with the negative offset wheels

As long as you stay with a 33" tire. If you get too much taller or wider, it may cause problems.

Wrong, he has a GMT900 which has totally different fenders. If you go to a negative offset and 33s you run the risk of rubbing bad. Some trucks don't rub much some rub bad. Be willing to trim if you put negative offset wheels on your 2010.

Oh, my bad. I assumed he had an 800. I know it takes a -12 to make the wheels flush with the fender edge on an 800 with factory flares. Dont know a thing about the 900.
