Pace Edwards makes one of the best,... but for me, I think the box just takes up to much valuable space especially for the 5.8' bed  But If your sold on one, thats the one to get. :shakehead:

truck cover usa makes THE best. i promise you i have installed every damn sliding cover under the sun... by far the best cover hands down, i hate sliding covers with a passion because i cant use the truck as a truck without trying to be careful of hitting tracks or canisters. but thats the only one that has worked well and continues to work well on customers trucks i install it on

my pace edwards has been great for the 6 years ive owned the truck. although it isnt 100% watertight- rain can get in in between the tailgate and end of the cover and down the sides, but nothing substantial even in the heaviest of rains.

the ability to have the flexibility of a soft cover with the protection of a hard cover is what is great about it, and coupled with a locking tailgate you basically have a really really big trunk.

Another vote for TruckCoversUSA. It's double walled aluminum and the slats are interconnected. The Pace Edwards Full Metal slats are not double walled and connected with rubber.

i was against a cover but i really like these roll ones. im really liking the one with the tool box. how much do these usually run for a 2006 ext cab silverado? and do these really help with MPG like people say?

Realtruck.com shows the truckcoversusa cover with the built in toolbox for $2650

Bakflips look very good on a truck, but the quality is not top notch. The seals are thin, there are no locks (you have to open your tailgate to open the cover), you can't open just the front panel.
