Another Cruze Recall...

That sucks, but I'm glad they caught it and are fixing it. I like the comment about youtube, no way to hide in this era of computers and the internet.

I see this as only positive.

Rather than take the "Ford road" and try to sweep the issue under the rug, GM is acknowledging that there may be a problem and, in the interest of their customers safety, they are inspecting the cars for the steering issue. Kudos to GM.

Go figure. Ford got brought up again in a thread that has nothing to do with the brand...

I guess I'm not the only one that noticed that.

Yeah...imagine that...making a comparison to another company in the EXACT same industry.

Not sure how you see this as being positive. They waited until AFTER someone posted a video on youtube.

From the link above..... "A few weeks ago, a

of a broken Cruze steering column forced GM to recall 2,100 cars. The automaker believes that both that video and this more recent steering issue are isolated incidents. The transmission issue has caused some cars to display Park when the Cruze is still in gear."

They seemingly ignored the issue that was posted on youtube until it got posted. They had lots of time prior to that to announce the recall.

And the reason someone questioned the ford bashing is simply due to it being off topic. There is no relationship between your anti ford comment and the topic at hand. You making generic statement like you did is not factual, it is just your opinion. Pretty sure we all know your opinion on that subject. Not sure who you are trying to impress, but you can take me of the list.

And where is the proof that GM knew about it prior? GM saw the video, did a batch recall, and then, to error on the side of caution, the did a full recall.

No...nothing I posted about the Fusion 'recall' (<-- my term...certainly not Ford's) is my opinion or a generic statement. Ford fixed the problem on the line on October 2009...and it wasn't until Feb. 2010, when exposed by Consumer Reports, that they announced a "customer satisfaction program" to fix it...but the dates included were cars built on or before October 17, 2010. Which means that the problem was fixed at the factory starting on October 18th, 2009. So the question is...why did Ford know about it in October...and not offer to fix customer's vehicles until Feb. 2010?

Oh...and BTW...it says right in the article that Ford KNEW about the problem. Bold Moves indeed.

Like I mentioned in another thread, you bring up Ford in almost every one of your posts. You hate Ford and everyone knows it. So enough already.

This is a thread about the Cruze, NOT Ford.

When someone makes baseless and false assertions about something I posted, I will respond accordingly. And posting the truth does not equal "hate". I have never stated I "hate" Ford.

Maybe hate was too strong a word for you.........but your dislike for Ford is obvious just by the avitar you chose. You bring Ford into quite a few topics that have nothing to do with Ford at all......that much is true.

I don't know about you but I've grown tired of coming into this section and seeing Ford dragged into every single thread so I just did something about it and so far it has been great:
