It's A Beater...

1995 6.5TD 2500, I got this thing for $1600 and it seems to run great. I already fixed the climate control, replaced the blower motor and resister. $40 and the a/c blows cold. Next is to fix the oil cooler leaks, then tackle replacing the interior, and loose steering.

Yes, that will come later...need to get the essentials done first, then the cosmetic stuff.

not bad for the price... maybe repaint the hood

My wife will be towing a horse trailer with it. I am looking at putting in a gooseneck flip flop ball in the bed.

Looks like a good project/beater truck. Needs a leveling kit for sure unless you plan on towing/hauling alot.

I'm sure it will do for hauling firewood, making a few trips to Lowes and pulling a horse trailer every once in a while.

6.5= underpowered money pit :thumbs:

It will be just fine. many owners out there have gotten surprisingly long life out of their old gen Diesels with very little maintenance required.

6.5 got a bad rep but stock it will go for a long time. Easily worth what you paid for it. Air in and air out really helps them out.
