Parking Lot Parking Stops

I need to get something that tells me when I have my trucked parked far enough in my garage so I can shut the door. I want something that is solid so I thought about the parking lot parking stops/curbs. I've found some online that are either plastic or rubber but I'd really like to find a concrete one. Does anybody have any idea of a local hardware store that might sell them? Somewhere like Home Depot, Lowe's, Tractor Supply?

For those of you that park in garages and need some sort or indicator, what do you use? Maybe I can get some ideas. My parents used to have tennis balls on a string but it never really seemed to work that great.

Pull truck into garage to where it needs to be for the door to shut. Get a couple of bricks and epoxy them to the floor against the tires

Get a landscape timber from Home Depot. Less than 5 bucks and it will still do the job. If you dont want to glue or bolt it to the floor but you still want it solid, you can lay two 50lb sandbags across the middle of it.

A 2 x 4 is enough to stop your tire. You just need to stop one tire, so a short piece is all that is needed. It can be secured with Tapcon concrete screws very easily. You'll need a hammer drill and the appropriate size drill bit to drill the pilot hole in the concrete

mcmaster.com they have all the parking stops that you want.

However, I agree, just go buy a 2x4 and cut off a 2ft piece and screw that sucker into the concrete. Just remember, don't complain too much when you trip over it in the garage.

They sell a plastic/synthetic material parking stop that gets laid down on the floor with double sided tape at Lowes (see attached pic). I decided I could make a longer lasting one out of scrap wood pieces (see pic attached). If I would have taken some new materials, I'm sure I could make it look a lot better, but it works just fine for me. I didn't have to drill holes into my garage floor, and I can remove it whenever I want. If you were to purchase a concrete stop, you would still have to drill and bolt it to your floor.

Well just went over to the house and tried to get the truck in the garage and it's maybe 1" too long. It sucks that all newer construction around here has only 19' garages. So now it's time to find a way to make it fit.

Any ideas? We are trying to think of everything from modifying the garage door a little or maybe even cut out a 4'x2'x4" section of the concrete block to make a sort of "pocket" so I pull in and have my bumper fit into the cutout section. Our only concern is if it would pass codes if we ever sell the house. We would reinforce the cutout with some rebar and angle-iron for structure and strength.

Any ideas? I only need maybe 3 inches and I'm good.

If it's easy to do and have the truck in there, then yes I would like to have it in there. Over the past few years, Nashville has had some really bad storms w/ tornadoes and hail and they seem to be getting worse. I've already had my wheels stolen off my truck and my wife's car has been broken into as well so the added security is nice.

Hang something from the ceiling and i guarantee it will be ripped down by the end of week from you or family walking into it....

Mount something to the floor, i bet someone will trip over something....

What i do is pull the vehicle in, see what lines up with the mirror in the garage wall or put something there like said a reflector and just go by that.

There are also laser guide parking systems that old people use when they dont know how to drive but come on, it shoudnt be that tuff to park in a garage and know your vehicle corners enough to guage where to stop.. After all you are driving this thing on the roads , backing out of parking spaces and hopefully know how far back you are to the little kid standing behind you..
