It has: 250,000 Km, auto, 5.7, new fuel pump, true duals, new Interco Truxxus Tires, 2 inch leving kit. Looks minty to me.

you have to really look over a truck like that with a lift and 4wheel its probably seen some mud look under neath of the truck brake lines, fuel lines, leaks etc.if every thing looks good and the truck runs strong and shifts good then i will offer him 2500 take it or leave.regardless of mileage.

Yeah I don't like the monster sticker either. Also I forgot to add, it is safteted in Manitoba, and it's only about a 2 hour drive away from me. You guys are all talking in USD, right? Add in Canada's price difference over the US and that puts it right below his asking price. Thanks guys.

according to VMR Canada website ... the truck might be worth between 3,000 to 5,000 $Canadian in Canada.

It does look like a clean truck and you would certainly be happy with it....

However, for the truck to be worth more than $3000, you would want to know a lot of details about the transmission .... the 4L60E transmissions have a finite service life and many of them die right at about this mileage on the odometer of this truck ... so find out if the transmission has been replaced or rebuilt ... don't worry about when it was serviced or flushed, because that really won't tell you anything.... good servicing will help them last a little longer, but they still fail ...

also.. you need to find out if or when the intake manifold gasket was replaced ... this too is a sure-fail part on a GM Vortec 5.7L ... again, somewhere around 150,000 to 200,000 km ... but some of them last longer ...

But don't let these issues scare you off from a truck like this.... once you have your truck with a good transmission and good intake manifold gasket, you will have a very reliable trust-worthy truck that will last for a long time .....

you can get those around here for 800-1200 US dollars...but then again its a GM town and they are quite old...like everybody said if the trans and the intake gaskets are solid then it will be a great truck...also remove all those sticks from the back window, stupid sayings and calvin pulling the r kelly on everything just isen't cool anymore

id say around 2500. But id leave that monster sticker on just cause it bothers people in here haha. I got a couple on my truck but they aint on my window tho. They sit under the 2500 emblem on the door.

Sorry for the late response, workin and partyin don't allow for much internet time lol. Haven't seen the truck yet as I'm in no hurry, but when I do I will drill him on the transmission, and see how it runs. My brother has a 2000 5.3 with the 4L60E, currently at 280,000 and still going strong. Do they just randomly fail with no symptoms, or is there a well know symptom that is a dead giveaway as to whats about to happen? Thanks again guys.

idk, truck looks ok but it was most likely owned by a punk kid due to the giant monster sticker and shitty taillights, therefore it was abused. the 4l60 is a hit and miss, some last forever, and some will just completley go with no warning around 120k, like mine did

therefore it was abused

Way to stereotype. How do you know this as fact?
