Question now is will 285/70r17 tires fit under the truck. I have a 2007 z71 and have been thinking of doing the same with my truck. Rancho has a disclaimer that the 285 will not fit on the z71...but i have read that this applies to the Tahoe and Avalanch only. Can anyone advise?

Yes there is pleanty of room for that tire size. The fender flares on the Z-71 tahoe are why rancho says they will not fit as they will rub the flares.

looks good. i went with the RC level kit for $60, readylift rear 3" blocks for $130, and sold the stock blocks for $90, = $100 lift

ive thought about going with the quicklift in the front and R9000 in the rear when its time to replace my stock Rancho R5000 shocks that came with my All Terrain.

Older thread, I know, but I thought I would share with you guys what I found out.

To the OP, you may have done way more work than you had to. I have a 2011 GMC Sierra and just installed the same system. My brother-in-law and I put in the Quicklift this morning and it took us maybe an hour and a half if that. Unless your truck is different for some reason, all you need to do is remove the shock tower nuts, the shock bolts and disconnect the tie rod. That's all. Once thats all taken care of you can drop the shock out through the lower control arm and install it the same way. We did need a pry bar to compress the oem shock enough to get it out and then to slip the new one into its spot.

Not saying you did it wrong, just sharing a quicker way to do it.

Quick question on this install... I have a 2011 Silverado Crew Cab LT with the Z71 package and appearance package. It currently has Rancho Shocks on it (included with the appearance package I believe) Looking to level out the truck and wanted to use the Rancho quick Lift loaded shocks to accomplish the task but in the foot notes it specifically says excludes Z71. (http://www.gorancho.com/suspension.php?make=Chevy_GMC&model=07_11_chevy_silverado1500#quicklift) Anyone know why that would be??

hello, im new to this forum and was wondering if anybody has though about adding both the Rancho quick lift and a 2" RC leveling kit. is this even possible?

it will throw off the geometry of the suspension/steering components too much. you'll be replacing ball joints very often! max lift in the front without this happening is 2.5"
