Bed Led Question

I'm looking at using these LEDs, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT, as underrail lights in the bed of my 07 Crew Cab. My question is how is it connected to power as there are no wires attached to it. Also, what size wire are you guys using to power these. I plan on tapping into the trailer power if that makes any difference. Thanks.

I saw your other post in the bed lighting thread and IMHO I wouldn't use that strip of leds. The smd have less light output but they do have a wider light pattern. I prefer the one I got because they came with the wires attached(it wouldn't be hard to cut the end off that roll and add wire to the ends) making it easier for me to just run it where I wanted. And I made sure to get the 1m long bullet strips so it fit my bed pretty good.

 

In regards to the roll you are looking at, IIRC you can make cuts every 3 leds. The way the strips are made to support 12v is 1 resister and 3 leds. So you could essentially take that roll and make it the length of your bed as long as the led count was a multiple of 3.
