Yes its a easy swap for the newer grill. The only things you will need are the filler piece on the bottom of grill and corner lights to match either GMC or Chevy. My truck is a 92 and it had the old stlye grill and I up graded to 94-98 GMC. As far as the mirrors mine also has 98 stlye ones easy swap.

this filler piece does it come with the grill headlight assembly kinda just below the grill between the between the bumper? im looking to buy a newer parts truck so everything thing should be there, or a salvage yard.

You can go for a newer grille shell or a Denali front end conversion. As far as mirrors, if you have a 4x4 there are these wicked extendable towing mirrors, if you have a 2wd then there are some small sport mirrors.

Yep that's filler piece you will need. Yea its best if you can a parts truck with OE factory parts not aftermarket cuz they will fit better. LMCtruck.com also has all the parts you will need but you prob have to buy them separate.
