Well First Accident Down...

Well my wife was lead into a very small parking garage by another family member and got the truck pinned between the wall and a support pillar. Needless to say the truck didn't fair to well. I guess my dad had trouble getting their Trailblazer through the garage and didn't think about the fact that my truck dwarfs their car and probably wouldn't fit. Apparently she got in and parked just like a pro but getting out of the garage was a different story. Here's the pics:

Yeah the worst part is i've been working a 3am to mid morning shift, then home to get a little rest then back out to finish the day off. I saw this when i was pulling in the driveway at 9:30 the next day and was like WTF?? yeah bad day man.

whats even worse then an accident is finding a shop that will actually do a good job putting new body parts on. i have had panels replaced on my truck and the paint is much thinner and chipping way faster then the original parts.

I know what you mean. Im taking it in on monday for the estimate to drop it off so i'll be making my point that I arrive with a fine tooth comb and if it's not done right they will have it till it's done properly.

I just got an estimate for a blowout a few weeks back. $1750 is the latest number. Ouch!!!!

Keep newer tires on if you don't drive that often like me.

if you dont drive that much, drench the tires in armor all, and keep them out of the sun.

Ha you wouldn't have to worry about that on a GMT900. The paints already paper thin!

So the body shop called and it's just under 5K in damage. Should be done by the end of next week. This Kia Sorento is not cuttin it.

    • About the only GM that compares well with its competitors through the small to midsize vehicles is the Trax. I would like nothing better to just drive GMs. My wife in a Cadillac me in a Chevy minivan and Colorado. Part of my day is comprised of reading and watching comparisons of automobile. I could buy a car today. I’m back to research the next.
