Ok I am looking for step bars that mount to the body. So when I do my body lift the steps move up with the body. I'm not looking for step bars that mount to the body mounts at the frame... Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

OEM 6" ovals mount to the rocker panel under the doors .......... I scratched my head at first thinking WTF but they are super strong!

How much are looking to spend? Those powersteps are nice, mount to the body, fold out of the way, but costly.

.. ya those are pretty nice, but i don't want to spend that kinda dough. plus that wouldnt hide the frame after the body lift. Do the inoic voyager mount to the rockers?

Does any other brand utilize the factory rocker panel mount locations?? inonic voyager maybe??

The Ionic Voyagers DO mount to the body rocker panels. They are super strong and are designed after the GM 6" ovals.

On my crew there were four brackets per side. The front two brackets bolt directly into the vehicle. The rear two use clips that are installed in the body. I was a little concerned with removing the cab bolts that would be required with many bars as GM had some problems with the bolts in the 2010 and 2011 trucks . So I wanted to go with a rocker panel install. I'm not tiny by no means, but the Ionic Voyagers are super strong with no flex at all.

To give you a rough idea of how they install here's a

The GM install is a little easier as you only have to mess with the clips on the two rear brackets.

Here's a picture of the Ionic Voyagers on my truck. Good luck with whatever you decide.

What website did you order from? I want a set of the chrome ones for my truck. Has anyone run a set of these chrome ones through a winter season yet? How did they hold up? I need something that can last and not rust.

The boards are ABS over aluminum, so there's nothing to rust. I put my set on in January, so they got the bigger part of the winter and still look like new. The boards are available at Running Board Warehouse, Running Board World, and Ebay

I was a little skeptical, but for the price I thought I'd give them a try.

is what made me take the chance on them. Six months in I have ZERO complaints.

EDIT: Johnnyz71, the links I gave you were to board for the crew. I didn't notice your truck was an extended cab. I'm not sure they make the Ionic Voyager for extended cabs, but they do the Ionic Railway which is a different style (it's the one in the video above)

Thanks for posting the links, I appreciate it! I think I am going to get these one from Ionic--very similiar to the CC Voyagers:

Look like nice boards as well. Good luck with whatever you decide and if and when you get them post some pictures.
