Electronic Throttle Control

The throttle control on my 2010 Sierra consists of a plug that goes into the accel. pedal assembly and up into the main harness. So far two wires have broken off right at the plug and looks like others are on their way. When they come apart, the truck goes into limp mode because it can't detect the position of the throttle pedal. Has anyone else seen this? I stripped the ends and stuck them back in and fixed the problem temporarily but every once in a while it will go into limp mode again. I pull over, turn it off and "jiggle" the wires to get it to fix till it happens again. Is this a known problem and does anyone know approx. how much it would be to fix? Im past my 36,000 mile warranty and not impressed with the cheapness of the Delphi plug. Add this on top of the rusty wheels, bumper, and oil consumption and im about ready to trade for something else.

Never seen that on these trucks but I did see it once when I was at the dealer still (not GM). Brand new car off the hauler was in limp mode and we got it inside and it seemed the harness wasn't installed properly and it ripped the wires out of the plug. Nothing like a new main harness on a brand new car. Though, they did use Delphi engine management just like these trucks...

Would they have to replace the entire harness?

Depends on the vehicle. The harness in the truck may be more modular. Normally it'd just be a new plug and pigtail spliced in otherwise but in the case I mentioned before it was an all new model and no repair parts for the harness existed yet.
