Connection speed?

Just curious what kind of speed you are surfing at. Here at work we are running (4) full band T1's, (2) voice and (2) data. Unfortunately at home I'm stuck with 28.8k.

I"ve got the sucky 56 k if we are lucky tonight it is running at 41.9kbs?  I keep hoping that they will give me a good deal on dsl the phone company has spent enough money on ads to cut the price down to about what I am paying for dial up but I just can't justify spending $30.00 a month for it I pay $12.00 per month now and they want 49.99 a month for dsl oh well some day.

At the office, I have cable and apparently not many people in my grid--I think that affects it.  But, at home, I am out where the buses don't run. 56K at home and get about a 48 at best. Satellite dish, but no cable. Just coyotes outside and no LE to stop you from firing a .50 cal Barret at trespassers ;)

Here at home I'm blazing away at a connection of 26400.  Just part of living out in the sticks, but I'll gladly give up the chance at high speed internet just so I don't have to live in the city, or large town for that matter. 

 

I have cable in my apartment at school, so far I've been less than impressed.  What a terrible connection.

I love my cable modem, no wait whatsoever for crusing the internet, and very fast downloads.  I will never go back to dial-up, ever, so when I move out to the sticks I will be going with the high-speed satellite service.   :thumb:

56k dial-up here, works for me for the money.  A friend has been trying to steer me toward the Adelphia Powerlink, which is our cable company's cable setup.  Don't know what it would run other than considerably more than what I pay now.

LAN at work, and 56K at home.  Hoping to get DSL or cable once I move.

I do most of my surfin' at work so I voted ISDN.

But at home I just got the 54k dialup.
