Traded In The Old, And Left With A Newer

Hey everyone,

I have been wanting a 4 door 4x4 for a while. What I really wanted was that with the 6.2L, but no used ones and new needed to wait for another year and a half. But I did go get a 2010 5.3 with 12k miles and 6-speed today. It was a damn good deal in the kind of truck and color I wanted. It has integrated trailer braking, back-up sensors, Bluetooth, back-up camera & black interior over the grey titanium I had!! They threw in and installed for me the wheel well liners, and this weekend will throw in spray in liner. They didn't give me quite what I wanted for mine but it was close enough. My truck looks and runs new but did have some miles. I do love the 6-speed and love the 2 year/30k mile warranty from today of oil changes, tire rotation and any greasing/fluids needed during that time for free.

Mods to come are: Autocal, weathertech front and back, fog light mod, leveling kit, biggest tires I can fit, and some sort of exhaust(I'm thinking dynomax or magnaflow), remove and chunk the air dam, de-badge and paint the bowtie's

In our area used trucks are high,I just picked up a 2011 GMC and with Rebates it was about what I'd pay for a used 2010..... Crazy

Very nice man!!! :) Question, did you pull your tune and other mods before trading it in? I have been looking to upgrade also and was just curious how you brought it in.

Congrats... Great looking truck but Tell me you kept your wheels :puke:

No sir, That is how I worked out the spray in bedliner and wheel well liners. I did love the wheels, but I really got tired of sitting on the ground for 20 minutes each wheel to clean them perfectly :puke:

The K&N CAI went with, weathertechs came out, wheels went with, diode mod i kept in, and tune I pulled.

Dang, that's a great looking truck! (It looks almost exactly like my '09!) :)

Thank you sir

Looks like you're at Lone Star Chevrolet in Houston. Is that right?

:) yes sir! how did you know that?

Same place I bought my 2011 in January of this year, and their lot is easily recognizable since it's by Hwy 290 as seen by your pictures in the thread. Have to say they are very easy to work with and honest, unlike another Chevy dealer in the Houston area on I-45 north of the old Landmark dealership(sounds like a day in the week).

i gotta disagree... i ordered my camaro from them back in 2009 when every dealer was marking them up big time. they were the only place to accept my GM Supplier Discount, but when the car was actually delivered they would not honor it, claiming they could easily sell it to someone else for ABOVE MSRP! i was furious because i left a $1000 deposit with them when i ordered it. luckily i kept a copy of the order sheet with the price we agreed to and they had to honor it or give me my money back. i walked out with keys in my hand and a free car cover :)
