(help!) Power Train Warranty Void?

A way too late to offer this, but, in the first post, the dealership told him that the area rep "would most likely void my warranty!" They did not say he WOULD void it, only that he may.

Didn't GM offer a CAI and a cat back exhaust through GMAccessories? OP installed a Corsa system, pretty sure that was the same system GM was selling, and if the CAI looks like the GM Accessories CAI it will be tough to deny warranty.

There are some that feel a K&N filter will allow more dirt in than a stock paper filter, if the CAI has a K&N or any other cotton type filter, and if they in fact do let more dirt in, that will be a cause of oil consumption. Personally I do not believe a K&N filter causes any issues like that, but some do.

A leveling kit will not effect the oil level as asc08 thinks. Think about it, You install the leveling kit, then you check the oil and top it up so it says full. You drive 1500 miles, and check the oil. If it says it is down a quart, then it is down a quart. The height of the vehicle did not change during the time you were driving it. Even if you installed the kit during the test, the amount of change on the dipstick will not be enough to notice. It is not like they are raising one end 6 inches. Truck is 20 feet long, leveling kit raises it maybe 2 inches. That is a rise of 2 inches over 240 inches. For those that know math, they can give the angle of that rise to see how small it actually is.

You can speed the evaluation process by pulling the plugs and inspecting for oily residue and bring it to the dealers attention. And also........................just how many miles are on it and (I hate to ask you this) are you the original owner?
